The 14th January meeting!

Here’s a little treat for all you Xavierites out there. Among other things happening in our college we are about to see history unfold in our campus with our very own college event ‘Exodus’ being held for the first time.

The day of Exodus is upon us in a week or so (4th of Feb to be more specific) and all the Xavierites are putting their heart and soul into making this event grand!!! We’ve come very far in a short time. Now we have an opportunity to expand the reach of Exodus with a significant round of sponsorships with the participation of several of our existing investors.

As the preparations roll on, so do the meetings. The field of Exodus committee heads took to the stage on 14th of January to get all the volunteers acquainted with the event and their responsibilities. Getting there was a breeze but the turn out was an approximate 150 (along with one teacher accompanying them). These will have the opportunity to participate in the Exodus experience and were excited to be active members of our Exodus family. The committee heads were introduced to everyone along with those under them. The proceedings of the meeting were pretty overwhelming with the vast discussions and the other individual committee meetings taking place at the same venue. But nobody was complaining!

To narrow down the list of relevant questions the following was done:
  • The volunteers of the individual events were partnered with their committee heads to visualize and integrate conversations of the event.
  • They were explained in detail the rules and how to organize their respective events.
Things are now getting even more exciting as the Xavierites have an opportunity to voice their opinions. Exodus will soon be transforming the way college events are to be held. It is going to be the new water to help us connect, with more innovative and more exciting competitions and events.

Here are a few tips to make sure you don’t miss any of the actions or behind the scenes insight:
  • Getting the latest information by following the committee heads is one of the best ways to stay informed.
  • Stay ahead of your friends by checking the latest insider updates on the notice board.
  • Turn on your SMS notifications and make sure you never miss any updates.
  • If you want an inside scoop, well just eavesdrop on the crowd of volunteers.

Tune in to the next meeting to follow every bold decision, every sideline development and every game changing plan on our way to our very own Exodus.

WE GOT A FEVER...

WE GOT A FEVER...

Who cares!! As long as we feel the chill....
Thought it was just an irritating cold that clouded my thoughts. I tried to blow it away, tried to shrug it off, but to no avail, the virus was driving me nuts. No sleep, no rain, the moist weather begin to turn me insane.
The doctor said, “Dude, your case is beyond medical help. The infection is in your head. “ I wandered around seeking help, but all doors were shut with a notice that read, “ Your idea will turn into a pus , and soon it will rot like how it did in us."
Walking across cramped boulevards and hostile stares, I found a corner that served warm handshakes and welcoming glares. No one complained when the idea sneezed, no one laughed, no one teased.
I told them my story...
And when my narration ceased, I realized they too were all diseased. We got a FEVER. But who cares??!! We were enjoying the chill. And nothing could be better on a distinctly populated hill.
Yes, we live on the mountains, we feed on the breeze. We love life. We hate politics. We write songs. We hate dirges. We love to dance. We hate to warm benches. We laugh out loud. We are not shy to cry. We keep friends. We forget enemies.  We celebrate victory. We detest losing.
We have an attitude and we would love to share it.

‘PLANET X’ (STUDENT COMMUNITY OF ST. XAVIERS) challenges you to survive EXODUS 2012, its first ever inter-collegiate event. If you think you have the ‘X Factor’ to weather the various tests, make sure you are part of your college ‘LEGION’ on FEBRUARY 4TH 2012.

Buckle up, you daredevils! Make History!
The virus is spreading...go catch the FEVER!!
